Throughout my education both in the classroom and in life, I’ve always had a great desire for knowledge. I’ve gotten my feet wet in a lot of areas over the years, but the areas that interest me the most as of late are history, sports, music, Web design, Web applications, Web usability, and craft beers.

Of all my interests, I am currently the most obsessed with Web development and everything that goes along with it. I have recently been working a lot with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. I am especially interested in developing Web applications that allow users to determine their own experience on a website. I feel that my background in Web design and computer programming will allow me to acheive my goal of working for a Web application company and/or with a team of people developing Web–based GUIs. I look forward to being involved in the development of the Internet, it’s applications, and it’s usability.

Some qualities that I feel will help me become a Web application developer include:

• Planned, designed, and implemented websites for various types of clients.
• Proficient in C, C++, Java, UNIX, HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript both in and out of the classroom.
• Experienced with the SunRay, Macintosh, Windows, and UNIX platforms.
• Graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, with emphasis on Internet Applications.

I feel that I can actively contribute to a Web development company because I am both detail and goal oriented, and I am skilled in both design and programming. I look forward to utilizing my knowledge and attention to detail in a work environment that will broaden my understanding of application development and computer programming especially on the Internet.
